This CyberSoundェ VS Demo has two installer applications. First, the CyberSound VS Demo Installer is used to install the software necessary to operate the synthesizer and sequencer. It also installs one Demo Sequence and the accompanying sound bank. To install the second Demo Sequence, please use the Grady's Sequence Demo Installer.
The CyberSound VS Demo Installer
The CyberSound VS Demo Installer places the CyberSynthェ, CyberPlayerェ, CyberSynthェ Folder, Demo Sequence and Demo Sounds where they belong on your hard drive.
To install CyberSound VS:
1. If you are using any virus-protection software, turn it off or temporarily remove it and restart your Macintosh.
Donユt forget to turn it back on after you have completed installing CyberSound VS.
2. Download the CyberSound VS Demo.
3. Double-click the icon called CyberSound VS Demo Installer.
4. Click Continue to proceed to the installation screen.
5. Click Install.
The Installer will alert you that must restart your computer after installation. Click Yes to continue.
6. Select a destination for the CyberPlayer folder.
You can install it wherever it is most convenient on your hard disk. Click Install after selecting a destination.
7. Restart your Macintosh when the Installer prompts you to do so.
Your CyberSynth and CyberPlayer software is now installed. To use this software, you must now install at least the first demo sequence and its sounds.
Items installed into the System Folder must remain in their proper location for CyberSynth to function correctly. You can move items that do not reside inside the System Folder (such as the CyberPlayer application) to other locations on your hard drive if you wish to do so.
The Grady's Sequence Demo Installer
This installer simply installs the second demo sequence and the accompanying sound bank in the proper places on your hard disk.
Sound Manager Setup (IMPORTANT!!!)
Because CyberSynth relies on the Sound Manager software to deliver its output to the Macintosh sound output port (or internal speaker), it is critical that this portion of the software be set up correctly for maximum fidelity and system CPU performance. Please review the "SW Configuration" document for instructions on configuring Sound Manager.
